DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

 The department of Mechanical Engineering was started from the commencement of our college in the year 1945 to offer diploma program in Mechanical Engineering for six semesters with a period of 3 years . Mechanical Engineering is one of the broadest and most versatile field in engineering profession.It is an engineering discipline that encompasses the generation and application of heat and mechanical power in design and manufacturing . The department has grown from strength to strength from its inception with an intake capacity of 120 students per year. The department provides excellent teaching –learning environment with highly qualified and motivated faculty members.Currently the department has dedicated faculty members of 1 HOD and 9 lecturers. We excel placement in various reputed companies.The curriculum is set up in such a manner to inculcate balanced education to students through workshops, ,assignments,seminars,conferences and innovative projects. The department provides stimulating environment for research activities with well equipped lab facilities.Industrial environment is laid to the students through internship training and frequent field visits.the main vision of this programme is to lay a deep foundation to students both ethically and professionally in the field of mechanical engineering.
